# Connect GoHighLevel to a TFU Live rep

> Issue a consent link, confirm installation, then move the existing rep.

Connect your existing rep without creating a duplicate. Start with a rep in a native workspace and permission to manage it. The API requires `agents:write` to issue the link and `agents:read` to check the result, with the rep's public `tfu_live:` ID and current `locationId`.

## Step 1: Offer the connection

Ask whether the user wants an existing GoHighLevel sub-account or the native workspace. If they choose GHL, [create an install link](/api-reference/tfu-live/create-tfu-live-gohighlevel-install-link) for the same rep and give them `authorizationUrl`. They open it and approve installation in GoHighLevel; never request their password. The link is sensitive and expires, so do not log it or reuse a stale link.

## Step 2: Check the result

[Check the connection](/api-reference/tfu-live/check-tfu-live-gohighlevel-connection) after the user completes the install. A `pending`, `expired` or `failed` attempt is not connected. `choose_location` offers several sub-accounts: ask which one they want. `choice_required` needs their reconnect choice; `over_cap` means their workspace limit must be resolved before proceeding. Only `connected` confirms the connection. With their approval, [move the same rep](/api-reference/tfu-live/move-tfu-live-agent) to that connected location, read it back, and issue its current test link. `TFU_LIVE_ALREADY_ON_GOHIGHLEVEL` means the rep already uses GHL and no installation is needed; `TFU_LIVE_CONNECTION_NOT_CONFIGURED` means this environment cannot issue an install link yet. Installing GHL does not configure a phone number, calendars or campaign activation. Use the go-live check for the remaining steps, one unresolved choice at a time.
