# Analytics and performance

> Read call, booking and transfer results in the correct project and date range.

Analytics helps you understand call activity, bookings and transfers. Start
with the project and date range you want to review.

## Compare like with like

Use the same period and group of contacts when comparing results. The
dashboard shows two booking figures: **Lead to Booked** divides bookings by
leads, and **Appts / Conv (%)** divides them by conversations, answered calls
over 30 seconds. Check which one you are reading before drawing a conclusion.
See [Metrics and how they are calculated](/analytics/overview#the-rates).

If a result looks surprising, open the [individual calls](/concepts/call-history)
to see what happened during those conversations.

## Understand missing results

An empty period can mean there was no recorded activity. Missing or unavailable
data does not establish that a campaign produced zero results.

[Internal-contact settings](/concepts/contacts) can affect which calls appear in
reporting. Use the relevant Agent, Campaign or Power Dialer settings to change
future behavior; viewing a report does not change a campaign.
