# Try the conversation

> Listen to your agent before you launch it.

Test how the agent greets someone, handles a question and uses its capabilities.
Start with your own details so you can hear the experience from the caller's side.

## Choose how to test

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Talk in your browser" icon="mic" href="/campaigns/testing-and-sharing">
    Open the browser conversation from Agent Builder and allow microphone access.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Receive a test call" icon="phone" href="/campaigns/test-calls">
    Use your own phone number and check the result after the call finishes.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## What to listen for

Check that the introduction sounds natural, answers use your business facts, and
booking or transfer happens at the moment you intended. Try an interruption and
an unexpected question, then adjust one thing and test again.

Testing a conversation and [comparing two versions](/agents/split-test) serve
different purposes. A split test measures how variants perform across campaign calls.

<Note>
  Test conversations can use your calling allowance and connected capabilities.
  Use suitable test details when trying bookings, transfers or other actions.
</Note>

## In the API

* [Create web agent session](/api-reference/agents/create-web-agent-session) opens a browser conversation
* [Create test call](/api-reference/agents/create-test-call) has the agent phone you
* [Get call](/api-reference/calls/get-call) returns the transcript afterwards
